A Call for Independence Day United Prayer for India & Northeast
Respected Pastors and Prayer Leaders,
Greeting in Jesus Name!
Northeast India Prayer Network organizes Independence Day Virtual prayer on August 15th, Monday from 7.00am – 9.00am (Morning) through Zoom for India and Northeast. This prayer is open to all denominations and churches to pray for our nation and Northeast region. 3 REASONS WHY WE SHOULD PRAY:
1. GOD HAS PROMISED HEALING AND DELIVERANCE:
There are great problems like COVID crisis, political, war tensions and social issues that defy human solutions. We need solutions and change that can come only through the mighty works of God. That is why we need to call upon the name of the Lord. God himself has invited us to pray in 2 Chronicles 7: 14 says “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” We need healing and deliverance from so many social evils. Yes, God himself said I will heal and deliver!
2. TO REDISCOVER THE POWER OF PRAYER:
We need to rediscover the power of prayer one more time, the power of united prayer. It was seen during the time of King Hezekiah and Queen Esther. We have seen in the history of the Church many times. God performed miracles in answers to the prayer of His people. We need to see one more revival among the churches so that many will turn to the Lord for salvation resulting in transformation in the society. This will happen as we believingly unitedly pray together to our Lord, who has promised us in Mark 11:24, "…whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.”
3. GOD HAS CALLED US TO PRAY:
We need to pray because God has called us to pray for our nation. In Ezekiel God says (Eze 21:30), “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.” God must have been heartbroken to see no one showed up to pray! Today, let us cry out to God, ‘Lord forgives our sins, save our land!’ No prayer means, no blessings. Shall we then commit ourselves to seek God’s face so that our relationship with God will be restored and God will show His favour upon us and our land. So, join us to pray for the nation now.
